You'd better establish whether the timing belt was done or not and when in short order.
The manual for my 06 was 100K or ten years.
This is an interference engine and a popped belt would most likely result in a catastrophic failure requiring a new engine.
If you cant find a receipt or have proof it was done - it most likely wasnt, and it's an expensive time consuming job.
The job typically consists of the belt, new tensioners and rollers, and a new water pump. A dealer will charge you about 1500.00 for this.
