Hey guys! I'm looking to replace the oil in my 2006 Lexus GS300 (3GR-FSE). I know the recommendation is 5W30 ILSAC-GF5, however I live in Europe and these are less popular here.

So far I've been running the GM/Opel OEM 5W30 Dexos1Gen2 which meets the spec, theoretically. I've been thinking if I can match some Euro spec and run some 0W30 as I mainly drive this car in the winter?

Also, is a higher HTHS spec like ACEA C3 suitable? The Dexos has quite low HTHS from what I know, not sure if it's the best choice.

Any A3/B4 or C3 you want.

What does your European owner's manual give as a recommendation?
"10W30 or 5W30, API SM Energy Conserving or ILSAC"

Thanks for input guys. Do you think going with a lower SAPS oil can reduce chances of valve deposits (it's a GDI), or should I not bother?

3GR-FSE is DI only, if it's subject to carbon buildup maybe look into a VW 504 oil with IVD limits built into the spec.
