Was the fluid inky black when you drained it?

Black and smelly. Replacement fluid (Mobil1) was also smelly but not black.

Looks like a solid SAE 90. 6700 miles is a good time to change it out. The Fe and Ni needed to come out of there. The M1 should work well for you in Canada. You might have a look at AMSOIL SVT 75W-110 too. Have fun with your S2000!
