2006 dodge durango 4.7 question

I know that this engine takes 5w30 oil,but i was wondering whats a good filter and oil combo for this engine?
its a 2006 model and has only 41k on it,runs perfect.All service has been done at dealer including oil changes.
From now on ill be changing the oil in this truck,i was thinking a semi-synthetic oil with a napa gold filter every 4k miles?

To be honest, if you planning on doing 4k oil changes then I would use plain old conventional Pennzoil 5w30 with a Napa Gold 1515 filter. Remember the 4.7 takes six quarts!

I had both a 03 Durango with the same 4.7 and the 08 durango with the 303 hp 4.7 and both loved 5w20. Give it a shot...

Does it have an Oil Life Monitor system? What does the manual recommend for normal and severe service?

go with Pennzoil Conventional and a purolator classic filter. That will work nice for you.
