Looks like the radiator has a transmission oil cooler in it. The supply/return lines have a rubber flex section(about 8")in each metal line. Is it common for these flexible hoses to leak at the crimp? Have about 88k miles on it, changed fluid/filter at 50k. Try Lucas or not?

I've seen lines leak at the crimp before. It is more common than one would think. Same for engine oil cooler lines - these seem to leak more than trans cooler lines. If it is just weeping a little, clean it off and see how much it really is leaking. I once thought my cooler lines were leaking but it turned out to be some engine oil that was spilled and trickled down making it look like a leak.
Yeah, it happens. Replace the hose. It's normally 3/8th inch line. You can get it at most parts stores. It's a simple swap out of the transmission cooler line. I've done it a few times on different cars.
This small section is put there so as the engine/transmission move, it doesn't put any strain on the radiator, fittings or the metal pipes. So, this flexible section moves around a bit. Sometimes that causes cracking and messes with the crimp. You can get new clamps for it too, sometimes they weaken and don't make a good fit anymore (I've only seen this once, however. )

Both are possible. Hard to say without taking the hose off and looking. You can try an additional hose clamp around it. Replacing the hose is probably the best option, however. It just takes a second. Unclamp, to pull the hose off, measure it, cut the new hose to the same length, install the new one, clamp. 1-2-3-Done. (This of course assumes that both ends are clamped. Some are not. GM does this sometimes.)
