Off my MIL’s Camry. I couldn’t believe it when I pulled it out. Did her engine air filter too. It wasn’t as bad. Yikes….

It was Toyota OEM. My wife doesn’t think it was ever changed out……car has 136K on it. She doesn’t drive much. Maybe 2,000 miles a year these days. 83 years old.
A/C performance then vs. now?
And she has asthma. So, yeah.
Significantly better.
What makes me mad about it is she goes on about one of her sons helping her take care of the car. I did her last oil change and assumed her statement meant her son has been taking care of everything else. Now I know better. I showed her the filters and she couldn’t believe it. Now she knows.

I hate pulling a CAF with an unknown birthdate. If it is overfilled, the top debris during withdraw could accidentally be scrapped off into the blower fan assembly and now it is a real mess. It is equivalent to playing the pick 6 lottery.

Agree. That's what I use in my car and my wife's car. I will for the next change.
