Changed out the driver valve cover on my 2005 Tahoe for the updated PCV one.

Truck has had probably every oil known to man in 5W-30, 10W-30 to 15W-40 variants. Few that I can explicitly recall would be ProLine Synthetic Blend, Rotella T4, Rotella Gas Truck, Mobil 1, Mobil 1 EP, SuperTech Synethetic, SuperTech Conventional. Filters from WIX 51042, 51522, ACDelco PF46E, AutoExtra (don't know number), Fram Ultra, etc.

Intervals probably not consistent but anywhere from 3k, to 5k and probably some 7-9k intervals.

Motor probably has about 155-165k? on it. Truck body is 292k. Around 230k, original 5.3 had some pretty chatty lifters.

Pretty clean for not super 100% meticulous history. Of course now it gets very regular service being my main mill.

Looks as clean as my 10 year old Silverado did with only 60k miles on it when i changed to the updated valve cover as well.

They are appropriate for certain engines and driving styles. No one indicates they are appropriate for every situation

You are refuting a position no one has ever taken. JMO.
I'm not spending time searching past posts, but I remember plenty of posters mentioning how much money were saving doing 12,000 mile or 15,000 mile oil changes and how proud they were of saving the environment.
