Right on. Not only can they go a long time between OCIs, they hold 7qts! You'd really have to be an idiot to ruin one from lack of OCs. Looks as if this Atlas would have continued to run had the oil pump p/up screen not clogged with goo. 2006+ Atlas 4.2s even have piston oil squirters!
