What should i use? I want to go synthetic, it IS an LSD, and has about 50k on it. manual calls for "Use only LSD gear oil API GL-5 and SAE 80W-90 approved for Nissan LSD"

Ideally id like something redily avaliable (pep boys or such) but dont mind ordering really...also how much you think ill need?

Thanks

Amsoil recommends their Severe Gear 75w-90 gear oil for the front and rear differentials. Check your owner's manual for capacity, but Amsoil's product guide suggests 5.7 pints (just a little less than 3 quarts) for a total fill of the rear differential, and 3.8 pints (a little less than two quarts) for the front differential.

Any synthetic 90wt gear oil can be used. If the gear oil you choose causes any LSD chatter/noise, add some LSD additive.

Lucas, Mobil1, Pennzoil, Royalpurple,..... are common brands available at your local autoparts stores.

Neo, Redline, Amsoil, and other boutique oils, can be found at speed/4x4 and online shops.

Truck, Farm, Marine, & Industrial stores may also stock some of the other name brand gear oils.
