i just picked it up has 560miles on it. I was wonderin what to use for oil and fuel. I was thinking of premium non-ethonal pure gas(93 octane), but am stumped what to use for an oil.
i was wondering if anyone had some sugestions?

thanks,
kc

That's not an odometer, that's an hour meter. Last time I checked they don't go by miles.

To answer your question if it's oil injected their will be a label right next to the oil fill as to what type of oil to use. I don't know if it's 4 stroke or 2 stroke.

It's a 4 stroke. These things tend to dilute the oil with fuel so choose a good oil. My choice would be Amsoil Marine 10W-40 or 20W-50.

I've run mostly Rotella Synthetic 5w40 in mine, but also Delo 15w40, M1 15w50, and amsoil 5w40 european car formula. No noticable difference with any of them, and no problems either.

That 560 miles you see is most likely the trip meter.
Press the mode button a few times until you see the hour display.

I have a 2006 Honda R12X turbo myself. Bought new ,and now it currently has 432 hours.

Runs better than new.
I have a couple of mods for more boost.

I have used Amsoil 10w40 High Zinc for most of its life with no issues.

Honda calls for oil changes every 50 hours ,but these things do put a lot of gas into the oil. I change mine every 30 hours.

They also call for 91 octane or higher so non ethanol 93 is def the way to go.

Wow 432 hours!

And yes I'm guessing it's the trip meter or regular odometer. I have an '07 Kawi Ultra 250X which has both along with hours naturally.

I would suggest using a heavy mineral based oil and change it at least once a season or every 25-30 hours as Anthony says.

My Kawi is supercharged and also known for fuel dilution. I did a UOA (how anal of me) at 29 hours and the Yamalube 10W40 sheared down to a 10 weight.
I'm going use a something like a 20W50 next time and go with 25 hour changes. I bought an oil pump so it's quite easy to change.
