My 03 Accord 2.4L (w/280K mi.) PS pump started leaking a day or so ago. Does anyone have recommendations/experience (especially regarding reliability) on a new aftermarket brand pump for this particular application, as I'm seeing there are quite a few different brands available.

On something that old, you probably can't be very picky or selective. Rockauto lists (5) brands, none of which jump out at me as high-quality, long-lasting parts makers. I would just buy one locally that has a warranty and hope you never need to use it.
Fairly simple to rebuild. Seal kit from rockauto. Bearing from NTN or NSK. Both used by oem. Probably Timken would work as well. The Bearing seemed fine in my 04 pilot application and the spare I rebuilt for fun, but replaced anyway. I would bet the bearing has the same part number for you application. Takes more time to clean it up than replaced the seals.
I installed this $68 PS pump on our '06 TSX in Dec 2022; it's been running fine.
If you have a little time, perhaps check out local rebuilders and get your original rebuilt.

Same as Jeff. I ordered one from the same manuf for my J Series Accord and it has been flawless.
Mine was the oring on the low pressure return side. I'd verify it is not there before tearing it apart
If the assist is still tolerable at low speeds you can reseal the pump. Otherwise, install your favorite Chinesium pump - they're all the same.
Safe to presume there's no "good" options for a part like this ? If you called a Honda dealer, what would they offer ?
I think the original is still available if you want to spend the $$$.
