ok so I have a yamaha GP800r waverunner jetski that needs the carbs cleaned/rebuilt. It bogs down won't go past half throttle that kind of thing. But i've cleaned carbs on lawn mowers and weedeaters and it takes about 45 minutes or so for me to do that. The jetski is kind of over my head and I want to pay someone to go through the carbs and put a rebuild kit on it. But they want like 500-700 dollars to clean them out. What's up with this? How much should it typically cost to rebuild the carbs on this thing? It has two.

Can you pull the carbs and send them out? You can probably find local and internet places to rebuild the carb.

Some of the prices for rebuild kits are crazy high however. Not sure what is up with that. Price the rebuild kit then you will know more. How many carbs?

It doesn't look like Yamaha offers a carb kit. I would assume that charge includes setting the pilot screws and syncronization. For that kind of money, you could get the Factory Svc. manual, the parts, and go at it yourself.

yeah you just kit the carb kit from the carb maker. It's a mikuni carb or something like that. It's 50 bucks per carb. I'm thinking like 300-350 would be more reasonable to fix it.
