Dear many friends at BITOG. Here we go:

**
02 Jeep Wrangler
I6
80,000 miles
350-400 miles of city driving a week.
Currently using Mobil 1 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy
OCI 5000
AEM Brute Force intake kit and spacer

**
I love using MMO every 4 fillups at the pump; and its got plenty of umph with the Brute Force kit.

Question: Can I do anything better?
Thanks for the help.

Do a UOA. Track your fuel economy and see how oil lasts using fuel consumption ..or rather fuel consumed, as a measure.

I only have one question, why are you using 0W-20 in a 2002 Wrangler with the 4.0L I6?

I'm using 10w30 in my 2004 Wrangler per the manual and a lot of Jeep owners on this site are using 10W-40, 15w40, and 5W-40. I would be concerned a 20wt would be to thin.

I'd be real interested to see a UOA on a xw20 oil in a 4.0.

Lots of happy 4.0's running 10w30, some seem happier on xw40 oils. Mine '88 Cherokee with the 4.0 didn't care, so I run the 10w30, sometimes even through the winter...

I concur with my colleagues. While a lot of 2.5/4.0's are fine with 10W30, The better numbers I've seen here are with XW40 oils. Of course, there are exceptions, like Gary pushing the Jeep envelope with 20 weights. A UOA on that 0W20 would be awesome. Oh, welcome too, BTW *Jeep wave*
Personally, I run Chevron Delo SAE30, 15W40, or other 10W40 oils in summer like Havoline and GTX. My '92 Wrangler 2.5L is a 95% trail rig, and it generally gets beaten pretty hard. My last UOA had pretty low iron (4, I think) after 1500 beat miles. That was on some old GTX Drive Hard 10W40.

I too would not run a 20 weight oil in this engine. My 4.0L in a 95 GC was sold at ~ 195,000 miles running excellent. 5w & 10w30 Mobil 1 + PureOne every 6,000 miles. Never even had a valve cover off but, did replace a rear main seal 2X times.
