Hmm. I really don't think my driving is that extraordinarily hard compared to other WRX drivers. I'm very careful not to hit boost until the engine is thoroughly warmed-up. 95% of the time I'm just cruising along at under 3k rpm. A couple times a day I'll do full-throttle runs up to 60-70 mph, never hitting redline and usually peaking at 6k rpm. I never do hard launches.
I think I'll try M1 10W30 at the next change.

BTW, I googled around a bit and it seems like modern engines do use some lead surfaces in some of the bearings.
