found a 91 mitsu galant v6 automatic with 116,000 miles. The owner said it got a remanned trans in December but now it runs as it did when new. What should I be looking for?

Thanks for the help. This would be a straight trade for my 98 grand cherokee.

So is it an 01 or a 91?

My aunt has an 03 4 cyl which is the same generation and imo it isn't very well made. The dash has cracked into several pieces, interior materials are low quality, and I think it's starting to lose coolant. I have to say it rides fairly smooth though and the exterior design is pretty appealing.

Somebody once said to me "Mitsubishi (vehicles) are proof that the Japanese aren't perfect". I'm not a fan of their cars because their A/T's are usually trouble prone IMO.

I always liked that style. I test drove a few, but have never owned one. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I would say your GC is way more bullet-proof.

Well, you save gas money going to the Galant, so since this is a straight trade on a paid-off vehicle, you start saving money right away.

Trans is a big repair expense, so it is good that is out of the way, so I think you'd come out ahead overall......
