2001 Honda Civic front strut problem

I have already mentioned my problems with repeated front macpherson Honda oem struts failing on my 2001 civic. This is my third oem honda replacement struts that have failed. Somebody mentioned Koni after market struts. Has anybody installed them on a 2001 civic?

Has tons of info on different suspensions for our car (I have a 2001 Honda civic EX 2dr). Everything from shocks to full coilovers.

If the struts keep failing , all I can think of is , have you replaced the springs also ...perhaps they are week ans the brunt of the load is being taken up by the strurs.

This is a very common problem, one which I'm thankful I haven't experienced on my 01 EX coupe. However, the Koni's might not be all they're cracked up to be. There have been reports of Koni's failing as well. You might want to check out the Tokicos that recently became available.

What springs are in their. Are u replacing the strut mount too
