2001 honda accord

How does one reset the check engine/maintenance light on a 2001 honda accord..?? A neighbor had me do an oil change but wasnt sure how to turn this light off / reset it?
any help or direction..??

If it is the maintenance reminder light, you are supposed to push and hold the trip odometer reset button in then turn the ignition key to the "Run" (not Start) position until the light begins to flash, then it turns off. The procedure is listed in your owner's manual and probably does a better job of describing it than I just did.

The check engine light is a different light; it indicates a problem with your engine arose that requires a visit to a repair shop. A code indicating the nature of the problem can be read using a scan tool. It has been reported on this site that a check engine light can be reset for free by AutoZone, but I've never done it.
