2001 Chevy 3800 engine; PCV valve location

I need to check the PCV valve on my girlfriends 3.8 Impala but I can't find it for the life of me. Can anyone help me out? Maybe post some pictures if you have any that can show its location?

After a Google search, it looks like it is on the left side of the engine near the 3800 series stamp with a small cover over it. I feel so stupid because even with this information, I still can't find the little turd!

The PCV Valve is under the MAP Sensor on my 1996 3800. See image. Remove item "1 and 2" which are located to the left of the UIM as you view the engine from the front of the car.
