What you guys have to say about this UOA?

Silicon is high, but that's probably bc of sealants/gaskets probably. Fuel is high, probably bc he didn't have the engine thoroughly hot. That probably explains the water also. Looks good to me.

What's the viscosity at 100C? Possibly they couldn't do it bc of the water.

This is a relatively short OCI for Mobil1(used a KM to mile converter).
Engine should be well broken in by now. High Si doesn't seem to be increasing wear too much.
But, replace the air filter with new OEM one, and inspect all vacuum/intake hoses for leaks.
Make sure the PCV system is working.

What is the driving style of your friend?

Engine state of tune or driving style could cause that fuel. Short trips=bad. Dirty injectors or tired plug/sensors/....=bad.

"Silicone", by the way, is an organo-silicon compound used to make seals and sealants among other things. It's harmless as a wear agent, though it can leach into motor oil during engine break-in. The silicon content that causes trouble in an engine is in the form of silica - dirt.

The engine is too old for silicone to be from gaskets. Dirt is geting in the engine. Check the air cleaner.

either that filter doesn't fit or seal or try tightening all the air filter system and intake clamps and screws.

Good point,The most common thing could be loose or adrift IAT sensor.I already told him about it.
In general this is not a bad UOA the only bad thing is high silicone level.

My friend does lot of short trips less than 1 km.(From home to railway station)
didn't get the viscosity number at 100c'
Got the TBN number later on and which is 8.1

I don't know if these wear metal numbers are so good now that I convert the OCI miles equal to 3976 miles. Having said that I'll say I truely don't know. I'm just questioning if they really look that good for this engine/oil combination?

My last UOA had lower wear metals after 7K so I'm thinking that this may be showing that the silicone is having an effect. My silicone was shown as 5 and Terry suggested that I look into the filter etc. John
