2000 Silverado 5.3L, LS, 2wd Tie rod ends (outer)

2000 Silverado, 5.3L, LS, 2wd

Replacing the outer tie rod ends and wondering if I should go with GM Genuine tie rod ends or is Moog OK.
Are there any other manufactures that have good tie rod ends?

Want something thats going to last

Any advice is greatly appreciated

I have always used Moog over OEM.

Get the Genuine GM tie rod ends from the dealer, either online or local. Rockauto also has the AC Delco GM Original Equipment tie rod ends for some applications, but stay away from the AC Delco Professional or Advantage. They are reboxed Moog or lower tier. Moog products are more miss than hit lately.

You cant go wrong with OE but Moog will be fine for this application, USA made with grease fittings. I don't install greasable joints on pass cars (except antiques possibly) but on trucks they are okay, just make sure to use a high moly content grease like Schaeffers 238 and grease them often.

19 years, approximately 50k miles.

As stated in a few other posts. I used moog outer tie rod ends on my Trailblazer. Oem failed catastrophically at 135,000km in 2012. It has 227,000 on it now and the moog's are as tight now as when I put them on. I used to grease them annually but have switched to every six months.
