I thought that Saturn had a recall on the brake problem, specifically, for brake lines rusting out.
You didn't mention weather or not the timing belt has been replaced. If not, it is overdue, and they have a known history of breaking on that engine.
If the timing belt has been replaced and if the A/C worked, $1500 tops.

$2000 if you are lucky however the AC broken means towards the $1000 car mark.

I will admit once AC systems break and are costly to repair I get rid of vehicle in winter. My last few vehicles were sold this way.

If you drive it to me in Bay City, I'll give you $1200 cash for it

Sounds like you did well. A fair selling price for both parties.

Its half Saab as well... But it looks pretty nice, and lots of people only care about that. Maybe try $2k and see who shows up?

Based on the Opel Vectra Saab 9-3 and 9-5. V6 built by Vauxhall in the UK.

The AC would need to be addressed after the timing belt in that v6. At 116,000 miles it's way overdue and the 100,000 mile service is expensive.

Brake lights:

"In 2005, a recall was issued pursuant to a defect petition by the North Carolina Consumers Council, a consumer nonprofit advocacy organization, alleging repeat brake and tail light failures. The resulting recall affected more than 300,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada." Wiki [take with pound of salt but verifiable by customers on Saturn Fans]
