Are these an interference motor? I think a DOHC V8 swap would be awesome. Is this a RWD or AWD car? hopefully not AWD transverse engine.

3rd gen Eclipses are all FWD cars with NA transverse engines.
The elimnination of turbo engines and AWD in the 3rd gen are some reasons why the 3rd gen was unpopular.

The shop is going to change the distributor for $478, parts and labor included. I will do spark plugs are wires later myself. Got a good BF deal from AAP, $6 NGK Laser Iridium and $34 NGK wire set.
I hope I will be done from here. I just want to spend the least amount to keep it on road until I graduate (from graduate school)
