Hi Guys,

I would like to jump on the band wagon and try some TCW3 oil mixed in with the gasoline at 1oz per 5 gals of fuel.
I was wondering though - in my area there is 2-stroke and snowmobile oil both are TCW3 rated - is one better then the other in terms of usage/cleaning ability?

Thanks
nik

Some snowmobile oils are not TCW3 rated, some are. Assuming both are they would both be ashless and a good candidate for an UCL.

Personally I don't see what it accomplishes, but at least any TCW3 oil shouldn't create a ton of soot to clog your O2/cats... etc.

Some dedicated snowmobile oils just have better cold weather properties, or at least that's what the manufacturers claim. RP, for instance, has a TCW3 oil and a snowmobile oil. I don't know what the rating is on the snowmobile oil, but they warn against the usage of the TCW3 below some temperature threshold, but I don't recall that number offhand.
