? ? ?puny 5.3 engine
You’re right—it was apparently the 2.8L engine. I never really liked that vehicle, so I guess my memory faded along with my interest in it.? ? ?
I didn't know there was a 5.3l engine; just a 2.5l-I4 or a 2.8l-V6.
There is no rust holes. The rear number does have a rust hole on it in the right sideIs there any rust holes in the body or undercarriage? I’m in NE PA and vehicles won’t pass state inspection with rust through. Can you please post some interior pics as well. Thank you.
They’re extremely tough, one of the best engine/transmission combos available in a small SUV-but rather archaic & thirsty. And rust prone in the case of mine, the unibody construction makes rust fatal, I’ve seen XJs rusted completely across the center of the floor pan, roof basically holding the front & rear together! Great 4WD system, though.Excess machinery and weight for most people's needs.
Many disliked the small cab.
Sis accepted 16.5-18 mpg because she loved the ride height.
Ha, Two coworkers skid along the Henry Hudson Parkway on an XJ's roof and got to work on time.
Don't make me look at my bank accountNo disrespect to the good people of Brooklyn NY, but if this hasn't sold those people are really odd.
Buy it. I bet you like it. Once you go Jeep you never go back. Or something like that.Don't make me look at my bank account
I have to drive past it's (side of borough) on my way home from work
It's a classic Mopar, where's @dishdude
I don't even really like Jeeps (but I've never owned one)
