1995 buick century engine coolant temp light

I dont get why the engine coolant temp light is on my coolant in the overflow is full,my heat is blowing hot,im not seeing steam or overheating and the car seems to be driving fine i been driving the car for the past 3 days with the light on and no issues what can it be? Is it possible the coolant in the radiator is low causing the light to come on cause i know the radiator has a sensor should i look inside my radiator? bad coolant temp sensor maybe?

Those sensors in the radiator go bad all the time. I keep em in stock. Ck the level in the rad though. Spmetimes tapping it witha screwdriver handle will temporarily fix it.

Not always. The overflow bottle needs a sealed system. If theres a leak the bottle will stay full and the engine and rad will get lower and lower. Atleast pull the cap and look

i tried to pull it off i pushed down and turned it but it wont come off what should i do?

i replaced the coolant temp sensor and still the engine coolant temp light is still on? i also checked the radiator fluid its full so i dunno what it can be?

Does it have a gauge and is it working properly?

i checked the radiator the coolant is full in there.

yes it has a temperature gauge and it does work thing is it only goes up 2 sticks after the letter C no matter how long i drive the car now i thought normally a car is temp gauge needle should be on the middle or close....

Disconnect the sensor. The low coolant should go out. If not the harness is shorted somewhere.

Get a new thermostat.
