1989 Chev K1500 IFS tricks

Throwing a bearing and seal kit at mine- is there any tricks to help these? I'm thinking the stub axle needle bearing upsized to a longer version, is it worth deviating from oe...not sure there is anything else.

Got no tricks but if this is the first time it's been done in 35 years maybe OEM spec is good enough?

Looks like its been opened up prior. Short side oil seep (common) and high mileage bearing noise.

No help but let us know what you do. I also service an '89 for my non-profit, although it's a K2500 so probably not much interchange
