Wouda thunk it? Car's condition looks better in the pic, but just the same...
Maybe I should offer to set the points?

That fender emblem looks like the 409...283 with Powerglide I bet.
Awesome! I know Marcell “Opus” Padilla, whose name is inscribed on the canopy. Marcell was possessed of a large proboscis. Bloom County was a popular cartoon at the time. Was at a car show in Topeka, KS on Saturday held at the Air National Guard Museum at Forbes Field. I had driven up to visit my brother who lives just outside KC. Several Impala's were represented, but this '67 GTO caught my eye. As a youngster, the neighbor across the street had one.
Took the second picture at the Combat Air Museum of a F-14 showing the GE Vulcan cannon. Thought of @Astro14 when looking at it. The museum is crammed with displays in a couple of hangars. This place you have to squeeze through displays and try to keep from bumping your head as you moved under wings/fuselages to get to whatever was hiding behind it. If ever in Topeka...

don't worry the drive shaft would have held it togetherI had a ‘64 Impala SS for a little while, 283/Powerglide. I sold it when I realized it had a bad patch job on the rusting X-frame, I was afraid it might break in half…
Wifey and I are in Japan. It's real; just outside our hotel in Haneda. Blew my mind, to say the least.Fake front plate + camera = Internet WOW photo.
