We use Kendall Howard (Linier). They're deep enough to (just barely) hold a Cisco 9300. If you don't have stuff of that size it may be overkill.

My need is for some audio equipment, stage box.
Whatever what fits your needs for size and open/closed frame, then price considered second. Since it's mainly as a stage box and not a colo I think any cheap ones will be fine; I find they're basically all the same under $1000 (<$500 for wall racks) with little nuances like adjustable length or doors.
Also, to answer your question about the weight of the ups on the ez-rails, they do hold more than 40 pounds; our previous HP Proliants were 41 pounds with no drives and we had like 18x2.5" drives per. They're all vendor specific though so I doubt the companies like HP, Dell, etc will design their rails too weak.
