Here's a luber-finer air filter that has 6,811hrs.
Manufacture date is 2008 so it's the original air filter.
The intake for the filter is about 4 to 5ft off the ground. It's a stationary generator so it doesn't move on its own and kickup dust.

I ran an air filter on my 2007 John Deere riding mower for over 10 years without replacing it. It was dirty but not nearly as dirty as one might imagine. I did take it out and shake out the debris a few times a year, so I guess that helped.
Yeah I'll take and mine blow them off with compressed air and then shopvac the inside or the "clean side" of the air filter to get any dirt trying to cheat and relocate from the dirty side to the clean side. They last at least several years doing this.
