Finally got to replace the spark plugs in my Pilot. They were original with 90,204 mi, never replaced before. Surprisingly, it wasn't hard at all, even the rear bank. Took me an hour or so. Unplugging the coils was not as hard as I thought it would be - I'd pull the rubber boot up and it would give an easy access to the tab. Below are the pictures of the plugs that came out. Bottom row - front bank, upper row - rear bank. Same exact plugs (bought at RA) came back in.

They look good. I used Denso Iridiums in my Honda V6 that look almost identical to the NGK OEM plugs. They are due for change here soon as the weather warms up. I'll try to remember to post them.

Did you adjust the valves too?
I did not. That probably is beyond my toolbox of skills. Might take it to the shop when I hit 100k. Valvetrain still seems to be quite, or at least haven’t gotten louder

IIRC, Honda says the valves only need adjustment if they get noisier. Thanks for sharing the plug photos.
I have yet to figure out why they changed to that recommendation. (From the 100-105k check recommendation)

Tight valves usually don't make noise, but are the ones that will put an end to the engine via letting them burn (usually the exhaust).

Loose valves can clatter away almost forever (within reason).

Good practice to have them at least checked every 100-150k. Usually J-Series exhaust valves end up being tight.

So you replaced them with the same NGK's? We also have a '16 Pilot with 130k and I'm pretty sure they're still factory. Guess I'll have to take a look-see.

Makes me feel good. Our 19 has 77K. Do you have VCM disabled?
So, I’ve been running SVCM from 45k miles or so till 88k mi. I’ve been always hearing weird knockin/clattering noise under light load both in neutral and in gear. Then someone on piloteers shared that he was experiencing same symptoms when SVCM was failing and they were gone after device was removed. I’ve tried and seem to have worked, can’t really hear it anymore. I need to try to put it back on and test again. But other than the noise, car was running great with SVCM. Decent MPG (even with 5w30), full 6 cyl power and smooth coasting.

yeah my svcm had failed but didn’t notice any noises. I got a coolant temp code and knew the svcm was failing. The crazy thing was it was almost two years old and reached out to the company that made it. They sent me a new one. All I had to do was pay shipping.
