Finally got to change the original spark plugs in my Civic. Used NGK laser Iridium from RA. Look exactly the same as the ones I pulled out. Breaking them loose wasn’t too bad, had a nice breaker bar and used only half of a shoulder to get them loose, and by hand the rest of the way out. Torqued them up to 16 ft/lb. See the picture below. I’m no expert in the plugs, but they look ok to me. Would appreciate any comments.

They look OK to me as well but you did the right thing by changing them out now instead of never being able to get them loose at double that mileage. Well done!
Thank you! first ever spark plug change I've done myself. My wife's '16 Pilot (85k on original plugs) is next...although, it doesn't look like it's gonna be an easy ride with that one.

Yeah, those transverse V6's(any brand) can be difficult to replace the plugs. YouTube is your friend in this case.
You may never want to do it again. :(

Doesn't NGK usually spec quarter or half turn for them based on the seat type? Is the 16 ft/lbs a Honda spec?

it's honda's spec 16 ft/lb. but quarter of the turn is also on the plug box...so, did it do it wrong?

I usually go by the plug spec but that doesn't mean what you did was wrong. I was just curious. It's possible the torque levels are similar even.

Well, new fear unlocked haha. I’ve done all the research, went through spark plug change procedure for this generation of civics, and it states 16 ft/lb. Plugs went in are identical to those that came out, so I hope that torque spec is correct

16 ft/lbs seems like a reasonable torque for spark plugs to me. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Honestly I would guess most people just ram them in and get away with it.
