15 y/o 2stroke injection oil, Amsoil or Arctic APV

I am going through a 2005 Arctic Cat F5 Firecat with hopes of riding this year. Either that or it is an insurance policy that it won't snow.

Sled has about 1,400 miles on it. Doing the normal stuff, fuel lines, carb cleaning etc. Engine is a 2-stroke twin 500 cc Suzuki. It has power valves. Sticker on the oil tank says Use Arctic APV only. The oil in the tank is about half full and red in color. I am guessing that is Amsoil?

I have no idea on how old the oil is. I am thinking suck it out with an extractor, and with new oil lines on it, fill it up with new and call it fine.

Should I seek out the Arctic APV or Amsoil? Any other recommendations? Thanks.

anything that is injection rated for cold temps should suit.
Arctic APV is their brand of oil.. so of course they will recommend it.

Amsoil injection oil seems a good choice.

Any good quality low temperature injection oil will do. But do some googling if these injection systems fail regularly? I can't bring myself ever to trust them as they get up in years, so I just mix, and my old tundra is known to snap the plastic pump driveshaft anyways.
I was behind a buddy once and either one oil line got clogged or one carb went lean, and I could smell things getting a bit crispy, but I couldn't catch him before the motor locked up....

I have an 03 F7. Amsoil Dominator is what I have used since it was new. 8000 miles, never been opened up. Amsoil dominator is amber in color, never seen any amsoil with red dye. The older amsoil was dyed blue.

I am partial to the amsoil dominator just because the 03's were a special breed, typically some of the hottest running sleds powerwise and the oil pump were set up too light in my opinion. I average about 65-70:1 ratio letting the oil injection do its thing. Looking through the exhaust ports doesn't lead anyone to believe it has ever lacked oil.

Any full synth. snowmobile rated, made for low temps, oil will do. I like Klotz for that pleasant smell.

I assume you mean that you are using Amsoil Interceptor as the Dominator is absolutely red in color. The Interceptor is amber.
