2001 Chevy tracker with I4.

One Coil pack finally gave up the ghost for official. It used to just struggle when hot.

So found some Scamazon Chinese packs for $9 each, and spent $19 on a set of plugs that should cost $5 all together.

Burned several gallons of old gasoline, kerosene, parts washing fluid, mineral spirits, and if too much diesel or used motor oil, i just tripled the parts to acetone, and other garbage laying around that went 'poof' with a lighter, into the tank it went.

Not too many floaties. That's what filters are for. When I made its custom fuel tank, I burned a drain down in the corner so the fuel pump has some mercy from any water, I have a tendency to leave containers outside uncovered.

I think it did good! and if that coil pack didn't die, I promise I would of kept these old plugs in!!!

This makes no sense whatsoever.

I’m still on the original plugs in my Civic with 279,000 km on them. The engine runs smoothly and still averages 49 MPG in the warm months so those plugs are doing a perfect job still. At this point they might be difficult to remove so I might as well just keep going! I talked to another Civic owner recently who has 250,000 miles on his original plugs!

I've seen plenty of vehicles with 200,000+ miles on the original plugs, coolant never changed, and transmission never touched, just oil and filter changes and maybe one or two air filter changes. It's not something I personally could do on my vehicles, but sometimes regular oil changes and nothing else can make a vehicle last an extremely long time. I'm always kind of leery of buying higher mileage used toyotas because often times they've received nothing but oil changes.

I'm fascinated how the last 2000 miles in the backyard I've burned everything except gasoline, and the plugs look this nice.

Honestly you can burn used motor oil in a gasser, but seems you need a lot of acetone or parts washing fluid to get it to burn clean, well, clean enough to have it not misfire anyways

Given my chosen mistreatment, I'm also impressed what the fuel pump as managed, same with the injectors.

People seem to pamper their stuff too much. Just send it.

I feel bad for chorty's ECM and fuel trims. "We're lean! We're rich! We're lean! We're rich! What is going on???" :D

Oh, its not worried. It has struggles elsewhere
Fan belt blew off the other day bouncing rev limiter.

Fan clutch died, so I welded bolts to the hub. Roars like a *****, squeals the belt. The crank pulley is twice the fan pulley.

One of these days the plastic blades are going to give out and stab through the steel hood. Its sketchy how fast it turns now.

No more overheat issues though.

Mind you I'm bouncing 6k rpm, and 3 years ago the harmonic balancer separated. I eyeballed it on center with 4 pieces of welding rod, then spot welded it kinda on center. It's a wobbler, you can see the belt wander back and forth, but since its serpentine, it corrects nicely onto the next pulley.

Hasn't blown up yet.

Ah, fan clutch died. Took me a minute

Fixed.

Yeah, this thing just won't die. I love it. Best yard vehicle ever.

Rear xfer case. Real low range. Chain drive box. And gets around in tight places once the mirrors are ripped off.

It carries some tools, inverter, 20# propane, and a pair of K tanks.

The best mod I did was adding a switch for the front axle air pump. Besides the fender delete.

army of ants. I discovered that today fixing another flat tire. Cut the sidewall open on some iron.

They're moving eggs from the overhead rails down to the bumper/frame.

See this guy barreling down the trail or a narrow dirt road, move over as far as you can, because he doesn't care! :ROFLMAO:
Just send it! :ROFLMAO:🍻

My wife's 2012 Mazda CX-9 got totaled a couple of weeks ago . 150k miles . Original plugs , anti freeze , trans fluid , fuel filter . Still ran really well .

Unfortunately this vehicle isn't road worthy anymore
...but....

Driving dents and scratches are the best.

Blinker for 5-7 seconds.
Waiting...waiting....waiting....f it.....I waited long enough, and gave warning.

Snap steering wheel, they back off and let me in. Don't like it? I'm not the only azzhole on the road.
