13 of America's Grandest Gas Stations

I live about 20 miles from the “ clamshell “ station and It’s on the ‘national register of historic places’ list.

Vacation as a child including stopping at the two location that existed back in the 70's.

All I'm gonna say is this -

Sinclair is quite rare in Northern California, but there are a couple within a few minutes drive from my place. This is the one I pass by most often ... kinda rural.

There was a McDonalds in Palm Beach, FL that has a NASCAR and NHRA funny car inside.
I haven’t been there since 2009 so I don’t know if this location was remodeled.
Photo off internet.

I’ve driven many times by the Watergate gas station in DC. Years ago when it was an Exxon with those outrageous gas prices, I always saw at least one car getting fuel there.

A few months ago I stopped at a Buc-ees in Sevierville TN for the first time. That place was an absolute circus, my wife and I spent at least a half hour looking around at things inside. Almost every gas pump was occupied. I ended up getting gas at pump #67.

#67 is my favorite pump at that station. #78 is always in demand as is #26.
