2013 Fiesta SE. Placed spring compressors 180 degree apart. Tightening each side a little at a time. I compress the spring until the top plate, mount just becomes loose and then loosen the top nut? Replacing with KYB and bellows.

Yep, that is about it.
Maybe shake the holy water and sacrifice a goat just to appease the spring compressor gods.
