Thanks for posting that site! That will be good for an hours worth of entertainment.

Wow, that bridge is a real bugger because it's on a one way street with no way to turn around. I hope there are signs at the beginning of the street warning commercial drivers.

Only an hour? If you're lucky!! Some of the collisions are brutal!

I like this one! Watching the antenna pop-up and off,and then the a/c popping off is great.

Crazy as it seems, this stuff does happen.

I used to work with a bridge inspector. One day he responded to a bridge hit; a tractor-trailer had hit the underside of the bridge. When he (the bridge inspector) arrived on scene, he found out that the collision with the bridge happened as a low rate of speed. When he asked the truck driver what happened, he said that since he knew that the underclearance was pretty low, he slowed down so that the truck would sit lower. He said that he had seen that happen in an old Looney Tunes episode...

I swear to you, I am not making this up!

I had just missed a bridge hit by a railroad boom truck by a matter of minutes. It had mostly ripped the crane fixture off of the truck and gouged the concrete of the bridge pretty good. Somehow he managed to make it under and park on the other side. This happened on a major and highly traveled highway in the area.

we have a bridge like that in Wichita,KS. my uncle worked for the paper as photographer, and had a pic, of a crashed truck in the, paper every 2 mo or so.

I work in the Boston area...without fail, EVERY fall, some college student tries to take a rental truck down Storrow Drive. Coming from the highway (I-93), the first problem one encounters is the BU Footbridge...which is only ten feet high. Note: this is prominently announced, with warning signs (reading "CARS ONLY") and even pipes hanging on chanis that will hit anything too high to clear the bridge! DUH!
