With all due respect, a typical UOA doesn't prove very much in this situation.IMO
"Scuffing" caused by insufficient lubrication(heavy adhesive wear) is more likely to produce particles in the 50-200 micron range.JMHO
Yeah, but that's with fresh oil, how about after there's some miles on it. I doubt it would perform nearly as well.quote:

In either case, I thought that a 10W was SAE certified to pump down to -25C and a 5W down to -30C. Is this not correct?
