Are those abandoned rail cars and a locomotive by the trestle? Private property or free to explore? Is this one of those tracks where you can build your own little railcar / go-cart thing and drive down the track? Looks like an awesome day trip!Tried to make it out to see this today but the hike was too much for me. Even my Son was not ready. It's over 5 miles of steep terrain to get to it. Are those growing on a bush? They look like fire cherries. Are they 1/4" to 1/3" in diameter with a stone? Fire cherries are edible. I'm not saying those are fire cherries. What is this?View attachment 71599
Rail cars yes. locomotive no. It is private property I think still owned by the RR. It is very secluded and nobody is around for many miles. The track is cut off by a tunnel that had collapsed in one direction. People still will ride dirt bikes to it but they have to cross over other trestles. If you google Goat Canyon Trestle you will get a ton of results. I live about 30 miles away from it.Are those abandoned rail cars and a locomotive by the trestle? Private property or free to explore? I'd like to see the bark on the tree/shrub trunk. It looks too rough. Should be smooth and somewhat shiny. Have a friend try one fruit.I‘m very far from a horticulturist, but I think I remember the previous owner saying it was a very large shrub. Your take?
Smells very sweet on the inside.
