My brother is a plate collector as well... He hates that Ohio has gone to the flat screen printed ones for anything other than that bog standard plate.
He even got upset with me for ordering replacement plates( which are the flat printed ones, not the embossed letters) with the same number summer before last... The front one of the old set was bent up and stuff...

Yeah I am not too big of a fan of the flat ones either. I can’t stand bent plates on a vehicle though so I probably would of done the same thing. Now you guys don’t even have to have front plates right?
