Is this for the red Mazda that you just picked up? If yes, then I have to disagree a little with the previous posters. The black color would go nicely with the red truck, but the typeface has a very "1920s" look to it that I think would look odd on a later model truck.

Just my 2 cents worth!

Yes my red Mazda. Yes the black is definitely old school, like real old school. The yellow background was introduced in 2000 before that it was just the black plates. My neighbor has the black ones on his 1985 Ford truck that’s black and I took one off with his permission and put it on mine to see how it would look it actually doesn’t look bad. He doesn’t want me to post a picture though. I’m trying to find the yellow ones to try to see what they look like.

Here are more plates in my collection. The Ohio was sent free by the state of Ohio DMV. The West Virginia I won in a contest in my plate collection group on Facebook. Had to guess what a number meant that was special to West Virginia and it was Snowshoe Mountain elevation above sea level so I won the plate there too.
