I used to drive to Harrisonburg, VA regularly over the last 32 years. Saw these by the side of the road; These are in central PA maybe near Shamokin (I saw a woman in this town, she was Sha-mokin) ; What type of pipeline is that, are the 90 degrees bends for something as simple as slowing down the flow, dealing with expansion?

A bad day for him, a worse one for his jockey shorts. The fire department had brought down the other two window washers and he was waiting for his turn. Personal protective equipment works!

Interesting, it is a steam line from a CoGen plant up the road:

"The independently owned Wheelabrator Frackville cogeneration facility provides dependable, environmentally safe disposal of anthracite coal mining waste (culm), while generating clean energy for sale to the local utility. Designed, constructed and operated by Wheelabrator, Wheelabrator Frackville generates 48 MW of electricity, the equivalent of powering 37,260 homes and businesses, as well as its own operations. Additionally, the plant supplies over 60 million pounds of steam to power Pennsylvania's State Correctional Institution at Frackville."

It's that time of year again!! YAY! (Said no one ever). This is one afternoon's worth. It had rained earlier in the day, and this was about 1700hrs.
