My basement has been used for storage since we moved in...and found that the chimney flu is cracked all the way down, likely due to previous fires from the previous owners... We’re going to get it repaired late spring for use next year, when I can hopefully get a good deal on a cord of wood.

Yup. Happened in Feb 2017. The amount of rainfall was similar to 1997 when it heavily flooded downstream Yuba county. Original spillway was built without rebar but it held up nicely for almost 70 years. It’s an amazing feat of engineering to behold. The tallest earth-fill dam in the world, with a span of over 1 mile.
