Close! We got a bit serious with our pond skating rink this year and it always has a few cracks in it once the snow banks build up. So I thought I'd try a roofing torch to melts some ice and seal them up. Works pretty good with a full 20lb tank and temps above -10C. Also if there's a rough spot you can smooth it out pretty fast. I noticed that if you put the jet right into the crack the propane can travel quite a ways before its all burned and looks pretty cool at night!Welding? Or....![]()
Cherenkov! A nuclear powered roofing torch would be handy I guess, only change the bottle every decade or so... lol Its a roofing torch I use the seal up the cracks on the skating pond. It also does cool things when you put it into deep fresh snow but I haven't got any pictures of that.Looks kinda like Cherenkov but the background doesn't look right, so I'm guessing gas or propane?
You have a odd camera that takes upside down photos. Jim, I want one!
