1 Oil for several vehicles?

For over a decade I have used Mobil 10W40 in everything. I only recently changed this practice for two reasons.

1) Cost vs value

2) Valvoline Restore and Protect

I sure wish Valvoline would launch a 40-grade Restore and Protect soon. Seems like it’s just a matter of time for that, and for a diesel formulation.

I agree imagine all of the Cummins inline 6 guys in 1 Tons that could benifit. Not just Cummins that is just what my dad drives so I thought of his dully right away. I am sure it would benifit all the little 1 Ton guys!

This is, in my opinion, the best answer to the original post. Except for my answer, which would be to determine and use the most appropriate oil for each vehicle. I am doing oil on a Buick, a BMW, two acuras, a Honda, a Porsche, an Audi and VW, and there is simply no oil that meets all specs, an no single oil I would feel good about. The best compromise would probably be Mobil 1 ESP.
