Cordless tools have their place, but I don't plan on scrapping air tools anytime soon and replacing them with cordless tools. I had to sink about 20 5" lag bolts into laminated beams on an indoor construction project. A cordless impact gun did the trick, running air hose from a 60 gallon compressor in a garage down a flight of steps wasn't happening.
Nice I like it lol. I guess I need to invest in more cordless tools I’ve gotten so use to air that I don’t want to move away from air. I like the zip of the air and the sound. I need to get a 1/4 inch too in case I go to a shop where we can use power or air tools inside of a vehicle at my previous shop we weren’t allowed too.
Bought this some 15 years ago when I got a compressor. Haven't used in 10 years since getting the cordless version .
I used to be an air guy. I loved my Snapon MG725 and FAR72. A cordless impact and electric ratchets were tools I didnt know I needed until I got them. I can go months without using my MG725 anymore, my Ridgid gen 5 cordless handles 99 percent of what I do including most axle nuts and crank bolts. The only air tools I regularly use anymore are a die grinder because the battery versions are huge compared to air and my PH3050B because there is no replacement for an air hammer.
if its sold as an impact its an impact. I use 2 electric impacts every day. THe point was that just because its an electric tool that does not mean its an impact. Electric ratchets are not impacting

The head on the first link, the 20v Right Angle Impact Wrench, looks a lot meatier than on the R3130.
THey are really completely different tools. I demoed the air version of the right angle impact years back and found it not particularly useful. There is a massive difference in torque between the right angle impact and an electric ratchet. Think of it as the electric ratchet is good for fasteners that you would use a 3/8 ratchet on. The impact is for fasteners that need a lot of torque to loosen. THe other differences are really hard to explain to someone that does not use an impact on a daily basis
For a DIYer a regular electric impact is going to be most useful. I use mine every dayMy first inclination would be to buy a form factor like this
Yes I understand that but it's a bit nit picking on words. A right angle impact wrench is basically a high powered ratchet. Have the air version that is great to have when you need it but I only have had to use it 2 or three times a year when there wasn't room to swing a wrench and I need an impact on rusted fasteners.
