I see this oil is SP rated.

Safe to use in a small displacement GDI Turbo motor I’d assume with LSPI protection etc?

Definitely. Since you're in canada I'm guessing you're seeing it on canadian tire for 65 cad. Me being me I'd get m1 0w-40 since it's almost half the price if the sale price of 37 is real.

I use that m1 in my ls1 and it loves it. And yes it does go on sale for 37$. The oil I’m asking about is for a Honda 1.5T so don’t want something TOO think car has 190,000km on it now but want a little more protection but keeping the LSPI in check.

M1 0w-40 has a kv100 of 13.8 while castrol 0w-30 is 12.2 and m1 ESP 0w-30 is 12. They're all very similar.

M1 ESP 0w-30 is a bit cheaper than castrol but I wouldn't have an issue with a thin 40 in my 1.5t if I had it. Nothing wrong with mixing both either if you have both on hand.
