I have been using GC but now Toyota has a new TSB that recommends a 0w20 or 5w20 for my vehicle. Is there a product that has the magic of GC but in a 20 weight? What would you recommend? Thanks!!

If you would like to extend your drain intervals past 10,000 miles, I'd say give the Amsoil 0w-20 a try along with an EA oil filter (if they have one for your vehicle). If you would rather keep your OCIs down to 5,000-7,500 miles, then check out the Mobil 1 0w-20.

Regardless, do a UOA to see how it holds up.

I can get the following from my local auto parts stores:
Redline
Royal Purple
Mobil 1
Castrol Syntec
and whatever Walmart sells.

Do any of those above have some of the the GC magic in a xW20?

I am running Amsoil 0w-20 in my 1GR-FE (4.0) Tacoma. I plan on running it at least 7500, gonna try and hold out for 10k if I dont go over a year, and will getting an analysis done.

You should be able to order Fuchs 20 weight. Same methylcrylate base oil as GC. Try a motorcycle shop.

Is there a newer TSB out than the one I have dated 3/29/06? The TSB I have only covers most engines made 2006 and later and none before 2006. I noticed you have a 2005 Toyota listed on your signature.

Not sure what you mean by the "magic of GC" since you did not elaborate on that point. But for an oil you can buy at the store, it's hard to beat Pennzoil Platinum for performance/value, especially with a good sale or big jug @ WM. Redline is more expensive and would possibly offer better protection if the engine is run hard often. It's probably overkill for a grocery-getter. Is this for the Sienna van? I would run either of these for 10k miles or one year, especially if already out of warranty. Schaeffers 5W-20 is another very good oil to consider but more effort is required to find it sold locally. I also would not hesitate to run it 10k miles or 1 year, based on the results we have seen so far with it.

The above are just 3 more good oils for you to consider, that would compare somewhat to GC in terms of quality, based on my own results.

BTW, I'm not seeing 5W-20 or 0W-20 listed as recommended for your Sienna on an updated list that I have access to. It seems that 5W-30 is still recommended on the application guides too.
