08 Versa auto fluid

Hi guys
I was wondering what the auto 4spd transmission fluid is for the 08 nissan versa ? I think it is the nissan matic d, just checking.

Anybody use castrol import MV fluid ?

My sister's friend just bought one, no manual, and her boyfriend was wondering for the future, he is a potential BTOG'er..

From the owners manual:

Use Genuine NISSAN ATF Matic Fluid D or equivalent. (For more information regarding suitable fluids, contact a NISSAN dealer for correct brands of DEXRON III/MERCON Auto- matic Transmission Fuild.)

Matic D is a version of Dexron III. Nisaan matic J, K and S are NOT!

Would using Castrol MV Import aft be detrimental ? It says both Matic D and J compatable ?

Import MV is about twice as much as the Dex 3 - would it protect better or should they just stick with the Dex3 aft fluid ?

Just did a drain/refill with Castrol IMV ATF in my Altima that requires Matic-D. Good Stuff! Also used it in my wifes Lexus which requires T-IV and my daughters Mazda3 which requires Mazda MV. All 3 trannys are fine.
