For weeks now, on Mom's 08 Crown Vic, there have been several clipped-together, small diameter, stiff plastic vacuum lines loose under the dash- down in the driver's side floorboard now! One or two of these lines are plugged into a strangely shaped rubber plug- imagine a hollow box shape, with a much smaller box protruding off one side. I've looked under the dash with a flashlight & can't see anywhere to plug in the rubber plug. Maybe up behind/above the factory radio/head unit?
Several of the vacuum-actuated controls work poorly or not at all. Pull running car into drive w/brake set- parking brake does not auto-release. Go up slight hill w/AC running- AC stops coming out dash & goes to defrost vents instead. Power is way down, as might be expected with a vacuum leak. :^P
I figure this is a 2 minute job for anyone who's done it before. If you've seen this before, on late model Crown Vics/Grand Marquis, & know where to plug in the plug & hang up the vac lines- or you know where to look for an answer- I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks in advance.
