yes, it was spec'd for 5W-30 when the vehicle was made. I don't care what it was spec'd 2 decades later
It's has already sheared below it's viscosity grade. And just because the analysis looks okay on paper, doesn't mean the internals can show signs of tarnishing.
Most likely just some fuel, this engine isn't hard on oil enough to actually shear it down like you see sometimes on high-strung turbo engines. TBN is ok. Wear metals are all ok. This oil likely was sitting at a 30 grade a few days after the oil was changed....it's fine.
If you want to run Supertech for 8.5k, get the Supertech Advanced 20k oil. It checks all the boxes a little better and still cheap on the pocketbook. As your mileage piles--up over the next few years, your engine will thank you for spending around $3 more per jug.
Who cares about the shearing - delivered great results for 8.5k.
Just below grade, single digit wear, TBN still on the table…amazing performance for a ‘budget’ oil.
You aren’t giving this oil it’s due!
It's likely any other Group III full synthetic would sheer the same amount in that engine.
To the OP: Do you have any recent UOA's of a different oil with same mileage in that engine?

Personally I was not impressed with the Kirkland/Supertech (warren oil makes it) oil. It always tended to shear down to a thinner oil. Lots of people like it on this forum but I don't care for it. In both the Honda and Scion (has the camry engine) is where it sheared down and they're not known for being rough on oil.
My recommendation to you is Mobil 1, adv full synthetic (regular M1) 5w30. I know it's just the "regular" flavor of M1 but I was very impressed with it.
Thanks. I've checked the UOA's of many different brands of oil on the BITOG UOA section. Several of them sheer out of grade. It's fairly common and not specific to any particular brand oil.
